Book II Officially started!
So, I finally have what I consider a complete work to start Book II off. Although it’s a speed-painting, I don’t think it quite qualifies as a scrap.
Anyway, it took around 3 hours to do, all in Photoshop using the smudge tool. I usually use no references but I did use a reference for the head because of the unusual angle I decided to use. I realise her forearm is a bit short and her arm is overall a bit awkward (a friend of mine actually told me that it looks like she’s holding the keys as though they’re made of garbage) but I decided to leave it that way because I did give myself a time limit to do this one.
I am currently working on two other pieces, both of which will have unfinished previews uploaded in the near future. The first piece is of Krishna, and the second is of Juno (as in, the wife of Jupiter in Roman mythology), which fits well with the theme of Book II (the theme being Mythology).
I’ll provide more updates as progress continues, thoguh progress with the art might be stalled to due to the fact that the rest of the site is still incomplete. I can guarantee that the Gallery WILL be up by Monday. We’ll see what happens though. :-))
